This page says how far we have got, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us when something stops you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How this site measures up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. It partially conforms: most of it meets that standard, and the parts we know fall short are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What has been done<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Every part of the site can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Text and its background are contrasted to the level the standard asks for.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Headings run in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by its structure.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Images that carry meaning have a description; images that are decoration are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as nothing.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Anything that moves stops when a visitor has asked their device for less motion.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A reading panel in the corner of every page lets a visitor set this site the way they need it: invert colors, highlight links, bigger text, light spacing, play animations, hide images, dyslexia friendly, big cursor, tooltips, line height, text align, saturation. What they choose stays in their own browser and changes nothing for anybody else.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where it still falls short<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the things we know about. Please add anything else you find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Some older images may carry a short description where a fuller one would serve better. These are improved as they are found.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pages on other people\u2019s sites that we link to are outside our control and may not meet this standard.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Some documents published before this statement was written may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will send you the content in another form.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tell us about a barrier<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If something on this site stopped you, please say what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you were using to read it. You will hear back within 7 working days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need something on this site in another form \u2014 larger print, plain text, or read aloud \u2014 ask, and we will send it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What this site was tested with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A keyboard alone, with no mouse.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A screen reader.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Text enlarged to twice its size, and the browser\u2019s own zoom.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Where JavaScript is unavailable the content still reads, though some features will not work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How this was assessed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By going through the site by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader, alongside automated checks that catch what a person misses.
